An important part of our practice at CK has always been our service to consumer debtors.  We have represented consumer debtors in Chapter 13 and Chapter 7 cases, often at flat-fee rates.  With the passage of BAPCPA, the new bankruptcy law, we founded a subsidiary law firm to serve our consumer debtor clients – Resolve Legal PLLC.  Many individual consumer clients require sophisticated legal services to deal with business debt, tax problems, or other financial issues.   At Resolve Legal, we can provide such clients with the same high quality legal services our CK clients expect from us, at an affordable price.

Student Loans:

Over the years, it has become increasingly difficult to modify or discharge student loans in a bankruptcy case. In certain cases, we have overcome the odds to settle student loan cases. In cases of extreme hardship, we may even be able to obtain a complete discharge.

Professional licenses:

Many times, debt problems can threaten a professional’s status with their licensing board. Even before it reaches that point, a professional may be disproportionately impacted by consumer debt. We have assisted doctors, lawyers, chiropractors, veterinarians, and other professionals in reorganizing their financial affairs. Moreover, we have been successful at preventing the loss of professional licenses, and thus preserving our clients’ livelihoods.
